Mr. Villines created a presentation on the subject of Negligent Security, which introduced the attendees to a wide range of information regarding the criteria considered when premises liability experts consult or provide testimony. The seminar included information about published guidelines and standards, as well as an overview of the major theories and strategies relevant to place-oriented crime prevention. They requested an eight-hour block of instruction, to include theory and practical exercises, designed in such a way that it would meet the needs of both uniform officers interviewing in the field and detectives conducting lengthy, custodial interrogations.
